The sire of Barts Z is Baltic VDL (Quaprice du Bois Margot x Jus de Pomme), a 1.60 m Grand Prix stallion.

In 2022, Baltic VDL was awarded the prestigious Preferent predicate and is regarded as one of the new generation of foundation sires.

Baltic VDL's offspring are excelling at the highest level of international show jumping, with Leone Jei, Ilex, and Faltic HB among his most prominent progeny. Leone Jei is currently ranked among the world's best show jumpers. He achieved a top-10 finish at the Paris Olympic Games, won team silver at the European Championships, claimed victory in the Aachen Grand Prix, and won the Spruce Meadows Grand Prix twice. His victories in both the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final in Geneva and the FEI World Cup Final in Basel further confirm his status as an exceptional world-class horse. Ilex finished second in the Rolex Grand Slam Grand Prix of Aachen and won team silver at the Paris Olympic Games.

The dam, Alice Z (Aganix du Seigneur x Cardento), is only four years old, and Barts Z is her first foal.

Her brother High Five Z (Harley VDL) and her sister Luciana (Harley VDL) are both successfully competing at 1.45 m level.

The granddam, Godessa, is a direct daughter of Cardento, the legendary stallion who won multiple championship medals for Sweden in international show jumping and established himself as one of the sport's most influential sires. The following generations continue this proven performance lineage through the Thoroughbred Lucky Boy xx and the Dutch Warmblood stallions Jasper and Sinaeda.

• Oscar (Celano) – Approved stallion in the Czech Republic, international show jumping 1.60 m.

• Sam-Sam (Indorado) – International show jumping 1.60 m – ridden by Ibrahim Hani Bisharat (2008 Olympic Games, Hong Kong).

• Avacon (Abke) – Approved Oldenburg stallion, international show jumping 1.35 m.

• Picasso (Celano) – International show jumping 1.40 m.
